Its a good idea to have some understanding of html even if you are just cutting and pasting your layout into myspace. The easiest way to understand HTML is with a WYSIWYG editor. This stands for "What You See Is What You Get". To get started with html, first get a good WYSIWYG editor: Now that you have the editor you can start practicing the ways your code will change the layout and look of your site / layout. Start trying to create background designs for friends so you can have some fun with it. Having spent some time talking to others, and practicing working with your editor, you'll see just how easy html is. Html is a fairly easy one to learn but when you attempt to combine the html changes to your category layout
changes you can really start to cause yourself some grief. The way to
think about it is this, if you are comfortable changing the types of
blogger layouts that you have and have been successful at then I would
recommend it. If not then you are probably better of just downloading
one of the free templates so you can at least see how the new designs
are implemented. |
